Visa Application Delays at Immigration NZ
Recent news out of Immigration New Zealand (INZ) reports a high volume of student visa applications are slowing the process down. Jeannie Melville, INZ’s Assistant General Manager, Visa Services is advising applicants to apply for their student visa at least eight weeks before their course start date.
Get Your Visa Processed Quicker
The good news is that onshore students can get their applications processed quicker by visiting the AIS online visa officer and using Provider Direct. With many cases taking only one day from submission to approval.
On top of this, applicants who hold a current student visa and are transferring from other providers to AIS can also use the Provider Direct service at AIS, if they have completed study as intended on their current student visa.
Keep Up Your Attendance
A reminder to keep up a good attendance and completion rate, and to prepare your funds in order to be able to apply for your visa through the online visa officer.
For more information and any enquiries you may have, please visit the AIS Online Visa Office at the St Helens Campus. The office is open Monday to Friday between 10.00am and 3.00pm (except on public holidays).
